Hey wine lovers! My name is Tim. I'm an Arizona native, born and raised in Sedona, and I've been passionate about wine for as long as I can remember.

My background is a little unconventional for the wine industry. In the early 2000s, I started and built an aquarium business here in Arizona. While that business has been an incredible journey, over the last several years my passion for wine really began to grow, and eventually I knew I wanted to create a place where people could come together over a great bottle of wine.

Originally, I envisioned building my own wine bar from the ground up. But after my first visit to Turquoise Wine Bar in Glendale, I realized Jenn and Laura had already created something truly special. They captured everything I had been hoping to build, warm hospitality, an incredible wine program, and a genuine sense of community. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I knew I wanted to become part of what they had created and bring that same experience to the West Valley.

Turquoise Wine Bar Surprise will stay true to the original concept while adding a few touches of my own. You'll notice a slightly moodier, more masculine design throughout the space, and I'll also be bringing a piece of my aquarium background with me by installing a custom 100 gallon jellyfish aquarium behind the bar. I think it's going to create a really unique atmosphere and become something our guests love.

More than anything, my goal is simple: to bring Surprise a place unlike anything else in the area, a wine bar with exceptional wines, genuine down home hospitality, and an atmosphere where strangers become friends. I want people to walk out the door already looking forward to their next visit.
