Laura Hernandez & Jen Sinconis

Laura & Dan Hernandez

Originally from Tucson, Laura and Dan have spent their lives in Arizona with the last 20+ years in the West Valley. Laura's career highlights include 25 years as a regional leader in large retail corporations and the VP of Sales for Bank of America.

Dan's career spanned multiple Sr. Leadership roles in the insurance industry, and he retired as the VP of Insurance Operations for CopperPoint Insurance.

Laura & Dan have two sons, Tim & Nick, who currently live in California.

Phoebe and Chuck are the adorable weiner-dogs who round out this fabulous family.

Jen & Justin Sinconis

Originally from the Woodinville, Washington, Jen & Justin moved to Arizona in 2020.

Jen's corporate career included roles in creative operations management for Starbucks, Alaska Airlines and PetSmart.

Justin's career has been in general construction and commercial flooring.

Jen & Justin have two sons, Aidan & Ethan, who are aspiring filmmakers and are starting their university adventure at a local film school.

Their dog-pack includes 3 rescues: Porter (Aussie), Wilson (Beagle-mix) and John Oliver the French Bulldog.

Our Story

When Jen & Justin moved to Arizona in 2020, they had the amazing luck to find a house next door to Laura & Dan! The new neighbors quickly became friends.

Jen, originally from Woodinville (the WA wine-tasting mecca of the Seattle area), asked “where do we go wine tasting around here?” The answer: “Um, there is nothing in the West Valley.”

After months of business planning and strategizing our mission was set: We need an authentic wine experience available to people on the westside. Boutique wines served in an approachable way, wine tasting, farm-to-table food, and unparalleled service.

The name Turquoise was inspired by the giant blue agave in Jen & Justin's backyard, something completely unique to these Pacific Northwesterners. We love the color, it's warm and inviting and evokes an emotional connection within the shop.

This led the way to our gemstone theme. Each tasting flight at Turquoise is named after a different gem; diamond, amber, opal, ruby, etc.
